I get questions very often about my choice of fashion! Where is my head while getting dressed? Who/ What my influences are? The questions are vast and I hope to shed a little light on my process as I get better at writing down my thoughts in blog form. However, I’ll start answering some of those questions in this blog… So let’s get started.
Where is my head while getting dressed?
Creating vibes! To me as the old saying goes “ Art imitates Life” and life to me is all about movement! So I always get dressed based on my music choice of the day! Whether that’s David Ruffin’s “ Gentleman Ruffin” or Some old-school Gucci Mane, I set the vibes and begin piecing fits together.
2. Who/What are my influences?
I’m a huge fan of the late 1800s, Roaring ’20s, & the ’50s!! I feel that those times really capture my thought process and vibes.
My favorite people are 3stacks & Fonzworth Bentley! I feel those two fellas really get it and have fun with their attire in an artistic way.
Soooo Take a look at this outfit! In my mind, it was all about the ’20s for me. I knew I wanted to go for a modern swing on the look so I spent the day listening to old swing music and thinking about if I was a time traveler and I walked into a speakeasy!
